Firehouse Subs® Announces Paradise Returns with King's Hawaiian® Pork & Slaw Sandwich
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Firehouse Subs returns the flavors of paradise to the menu with the King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw Sandwich. Back by popular demand, the King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw brings the aloha spirit to the mainland and is available for a limited time in all Firehouse Subs restaurants. Available now until September 29, the premium sandwich combines hardwood smoked pork smothered in Sargento® Wisconsin pepper jack cheese, steamed to perfection, then topped with homemade tangy Hawaiian coleslaw piled high on a toasted King's Hawaiian sandwich bun.
To celebrate the return of King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw, Firehouse Subs is hosting a #ParadiseReturns video contest, calling on fans to create a crowd-sourced movie using weekly video clues. Beginning July 11, fans can visit FirehouseSubs.com/paradisereturns or the brand's Facebook page (Facebook.com/firehousesubs) to submit a brief script (150 words or less) humorously narrating how the weekly clue aids in their quest to reach "Pork & Slaw Island." Firehouse Subs will choose a winner each week, awarding prizes such as free Firehouse subs for a year, an iPad 2, GoPro Camera, and Weber grill; the four winning scenes will be combined to create one final movie.
