Firehouse Recognized with 14 Dallas ADDY Awards Across Multiple Creative Categories
DALLAS, Feb. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dallas chapter of the American Advertising Federation honored Firehouse with 14 ADDY Awards on February 9, more than any other Dallas-based agency. The 2012 ADDY Awards recognized the Dallas advertising community for work in print, broadcast, television and interactive media.
The agency took home gold, silver and bronze awards across multiple categories, including recognition for outdoor boards for Stripes Convenience Stores, regional/national television and vehicle advertising graphics for Interstate Batteries, and public service TV for Taylor's Gift Foundation, among others.
"Being recognized and honored by the ADDYs for our work on multiple clients, across so many categories this year, makes me incredibly proud of all that we're accomplishing and proves our desire to be the most creative shop in Dallas," said Tripp Westbrook, executive creative director at Firehouse. "None of the work that the agency produces comes without great relationships with clients and vendors, without great strategy and insight and great media execution."
This year, more than 450 entries were submitted in the Dallas competition. The gold and silver winners will move on to the regional ADDY Award competition and those winners will move on to the national ADDY Awards.
Judges for this year's competition included Desmond Hall, former VP and Executive Creative Director at Globalhue; Brian Booker, Chief Creative Officer at Bernstein Rein; and Carol Kono-Noble, Design Director at AdamsMorioka.
With more than 60,000 entries, the ADDYs are the world's largest advertising competition. The ADDYs are conducted by the American Advertising Federation, the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry with a national network of 200 ad clubs. The ADDY Awards competition is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
