ASJA's 42nd Annual Writers' Conference now open for registration
NEW YORK, Jan. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Society of Journalists and Authors is convening in New York City this coming April for its 42nd Annual Writers Conference, sponsored by the ASJA Educational Foundation.
ASJA2013: Fire Up Your Writing Career includes two full days open to the public, offering dozens of educational sessions focused on issues and topics pivotal to freelance writers. There will also be several social events designed to encourage professional networking. Anyone with an interest in freelance writing, for any market or medium, will benefit from this extraordinary gathering of industry professionals. Scores of sessions spread over two days cover topics of interest to freelance writers at all stages of their careers: just breaking in, scaling new heights, or keeping a good thing going. Attendees will choose from among 40 information-packed sessions on subjects including: finding new work, breaking in to new markets or genres, technology and social media topics, honing your craft skills, protecting yourself legally and financially, and even fiction topics.
