NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Widmeyer Communications, a Finn Partners Company, has been chosen to lead the marketing and communications efforts for the U.S. Army's Educational Outreach Program (AEOP). Widmeyer will work closely with Battelle, who is leading a consortium of nine organizations in this effort, to revamp communications and marketing for the $185 million AEOP effort over the next 10 years.
AEOP, one of the nation's largest educational outreach programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), reaches more than 35,000 students and teachers across the country. By 2025, the consortium aims to nearly double its reach by recruiting more than 65,000 participants.
"Our deep expertise in education communications, and particularly in STEM, make us a great fit for this effort," said Jason Smith, managing partner, Finn Partners and leader of the agency's PK-12 education practice. The assignment will be managed by Marina Stenos, Vice President and Director, from the agency's New York office. Account services will include strategic communications and partnerships, marketing and media relations, social media integration, community management, digital research and brand management.
