Finding the Best Personal Investment Strategy Is a New Feature in Dynamic Investor Pro

The optimizer feature in Dynamic Investor Pro allows an investor to set personal goals for total return, minimum drawdown losses and their desired level for percentage of winning trades. 

Each of these three key categories can be given priority rankings so back-test results reflect the overall desires of the investor. For example, total return could have a 70 percent priority while drawdown-losses and percentage of winning trades could each have a 15 percent priority. Then the back-test results can be sorted for Return Priority and give the investor specific recommended strategies that match these priorities.

The investment software allows the user to setup the three categories separately with a combination of priorities for each. This way minimum drawdown-loss could be one priority report showing in one view on the investor's computer screen. A third priority report view could be based upon winning trades with total return and minimum drawdown-loss having a lower priority.

According to Dominick, this new feature in Dynamic Investor Pro reduces the need for additional testing to find good investing strategies by quickly highlighting strategies that meet each person's own objectives. For example, if someone is concerned about reducing potential losses in their retirement account they can place emphasis on minimum drawdown-loss. Then viewing the back test report based on the drawdown priority will highlight those strategies most likely to preserve the account while still producing some growth.

The back test optimizer is effective with mutual funds, ETFs and stocks and can be used with any retirement account (401k, TSP, IRA or Roth IRA,) besides regular investment accounts.

The optimizer back-test segment of the investment software allows the investor to either plug in his own parameters for the back test or to use a wizard, which will make suggestions based on the type of symbols in the investors group and the investor's objectives.
