Find It - Fix It Challenge™ Showcases Workplace Improvements

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Humantech announced that it is sponsoring its sixth annual Find It - Fix It Challenge, which recognizes and rewards simple and effective workplace solutions that result in increased productivity, improved worker morale, and fewer workplace injuries and illnesses. The contest was derived from Humantech's RAPID Team Events®, which are based on the concept of making quick and simple visible changes to improve ergonomic issues in the workplace.

"When we launched the annual Find It – Fix It Challenge in 2007, we had no idea where it would take us. Since then, we have received nearly 400 well-documented entries from some of the world's best companies. The Find It – Fix It Challenge affords us the opportunity to recognize efforts and innovations across industry dedicated to creative job improvement," said Humantech President, James Good. The contest is open to all past and current Humantech clients. Organizations are asked to submit their best workplace improvements, highlighting the implementation of a creative and high-impact ergonomic solution. The submission process and step-by-step instructions, including entry form templates, and our webinar titled, "How to Win the 2012 Find It - Fix It Challenge," can be found by visiting the Find It-Fix It Challenge website.   

The contest will run from June 28, 2012 to September 16, 2012. By the end of September, fifteen finalists will be selected by a panel of Certified Professional Ergonomists and Humantech staff members. Of the finalists, two honorable mentions and one first place winner will be selected and notified by mid-November.

The 2011 Find It – Fix It Challenge awarded The Timken Company's Manchester, CT, plant for its Bull Gear Deburring fixture. Honorable mentions were given to Ashland Water Technologies plant, located in Nantou, Taiwan, for its Raw Material Transfer improvement, and to John Deere's Fuquay-Varina, NC, plant for its Mid-Z Eyebolt improvement.
