Find Healthy Businesses Around South Florida with the Healthy Places App
Now Available for FREE in the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthy Places has taken the South Florida healthy living community by storm. The revolutionary app allows South Floridians the chance to explore all of Broward, West Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade's local farmer's markets, juice & smoothie bars, wellness centers, healthy dining options, and more.
The Healthy Places app connects users with listed businesses that are out to help people live healthier, happier lives. The most recent major update of the all-new version includes an even-better user interface design and added categories to dining which now includes Organic, Local, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Raw, Clean Meats, and GMO-Free. The ability to favorite listings has also been added as well as the ability to leave star-rated reviews for listings to let other users know about your experience.
"We want to make it easy for people to be healthy," says Nina Anderson, founder of Healthy Places. "It should not be a mission to find a healthy place to dine-out or a farmer's market to buy fresh, local produce." The app is out to help the businesses that are listed as well. Staying true to the standards that they set to be a Healthy Place can be expensive, and can sometimes leave marketing budgets in the dust which can sometimes mean the demise of the business. "These Healthy Places listings are being put straight into the hands of their direct target market. It doesn't get any better than that!" says Nina. "I started Healthy Places to help people stay healthy, but also to help these businesses stay in business."
Users can explore or search for listings through the Map or List view, with the ability to filter by the categories and subcategories. "What makes Healthy Places so special, is that it is not JUST about dining. You can find farmers markets, wellness centers, and so much more! Not to mention we will be bringing users exclusive deals and coupons all in one place." Healthy Places also features local Events that align with living a healthy lifestyle.
Although the Healthy Places app is only currently featuring listings in the tri-county area of South Florida, it plans to expand coverage up to Brevard county by 2017. "With obesity, heart disease, and cancer at an all-time high, the Healthy Places app is necessary to help people live a healthier lifestyle without the hassle," says Nina. "People around the nation deserve access to it."
