SHREWSBURY, N.J., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Advisor magazine today announced the retirement of Evan Simonoff, who has served as Editor-in-Chief for 26 years. Patti Domm, an award-winning financial journalist and veteran Wall Street and markets editor, succeeds him as Editor-in-Chief.
"Evan has been a defining voice at Financial Advisor for the past 26 years, helping guide the publication through tremendous changes in the financial-advisory and wealth-management industries," said Charlie Stroller, Chairman and CEO of Charter Financial Publishing Network (CFPN). "His commitment to journalism, deep understanding of our audience and contributions to the magazine have been extraordinary. We are enormously grateful for everything Evan has done to make Financial Advisor what it is today, and we wish him the very best in his retirement."
Simonoff will become Editor-at-Large and remain a director of CFPN.
"After 26 years, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished at Financial Advisor and grateful for the many relationships I have developed over the years," Simonoff said. "I feel remarkably fortunate to have covered a business that fired my imagination. But after spending more than three decades writing about retirement, I intend to try it."
Simonoff added that he was pleased to see Domm take over the editorial leadership. "She is a gifted journalist, and we have a great staff. I know the magazine is in very capable hands."
Patti Domm Named Editor-in-Chief
Domm brings extensive experience covering financial markets, Wall Street, investing and the economy. She previously served as Markets Editor at CNBC and held senior editorial positions at Reuters, including Equities Editor for the Americas and Wall Street Editor. Her coverage of the financial crisis earned an Emmy Award, and her work has also been recognized by the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW).
Domm has also been active in the financial-services community and has served on the board of the Financial Women's Association.
"I am thrilled to join Financial Advisor," Domm said. "The financial-advisory profession is undergoing enormous change, particularly with the growth of artificial intelligence and evolving client expectations. I look forward to building on Evan's tremendous legacy while bringing new ideas and perspectives to our readers."
"Patti is an exceptional journalist with a remarkable background covering financial markets and the financial-services industry," Stroller said. "We are excited to have her lead Financial Advisor and bring her experience, perspective and energy to the publication as we begin our next chapter."
