SINGAPORE, May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Seatrade, a leading global maritime publisher and event organiser, is pleased to announce the finalists for the 10th Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia. A total of 43 finalists from 12 competing categories have convinced an independent panel of judges of their well-deserving achievements amidst tough operating conditions facing the maritime industry.
Widely known as one of the regions' most prestigious industry event, the 10th Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia gala dinner will be held on Friday, 23 June 2017 at The InterContinental Hong Kong. Award winners will be unveiled at the black tie gala dinner which is expected to be attended by close to 400 key industry leaders and figureheads from the international maritime community.
"Certain sectors in the maritime industry continue to face challenges in such difficult market. However the resilient and fortitude nature of our maritime industry is clearly reflected in the submissions received for the awards. These awards recognise companies that go the extra mile to further the progress of the industry," said Marcus Hand, Seatrade Maritime Review Asia Editor and Chairman of the Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia Judging Panel.
Highlights of the gala dinner include presentation of three special awards namely the Seatrade Young Person of the Year, the Seatrade Personality of the Year and the Seatrade Lifetime Achievement Awards.
