Filson Opens Aspen Store

SEATTLE, Dec. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The American manufacturer, Filson, is pleased to announce the opening of a new retail store in the famed Rocky Mountain resort of Aspen just in time for the holidays.

Having opened its first international store in London last spring, the new Aspen store is the company's first retail location in the U.S. outside the Pacific Northwest. Open to the public December 3, the shop will offer a mix of Filson signature luggage, leather accessories, apparel and iconic outerwear such as the 100-year-old Mackinaw Cruiser.

Filson's grand opening events will benefit Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES).  Filson will donate 15 percent of all sales from a VIP grand opening as well as grand opening events on Thursday, Dec. 12 and Thursday, Dec. 19^th to ACES. In addition, ACES will offer guided complimentary snowshoe tours to guests at their grand opening events. Filson will also sponsor ACES popular Naturalist Nights presentations throughout the 2014 winter season.
