DENVER and SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern California dog lovers are currently "pawing" for top team honors as they raise funds and awareness for the 3rd annual Morris Animal Foundation K9 Cancer Walk in Elk Grove, Calif., on May 7. Sadly, an estimated 50 percent of all dogs will battle cancer, and it remains the No. 1 cause of death in dogs over the age of 2 years. Proceeds from the walk will benefit Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign, a national effort to help dogs live longer, healthier, cancer-free lives.
