Fifth Third Bank Chicago & A Silver Lining Foundation Help 60 Uninsured Women From Rockford Get Health Screenings

CHICAGO, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifth Third Bank, A Silver Lining Foundation and The Women's Center at Rockford Health System partnered together and offered free two-hour breast cancer screening events at all Fifth Third Bank banking centers in Rockford, IL on Saturday, July 28.

Some 60 women came to the banking centers to enjoy confidential, private one-on-one meetings with breast cancer specialists from A Silver Lining Foundation and The Women's Center at Rockford Health Systems.

"We are so happy to have offered this free service to area women who have questions or concerns about their breast health," said Nicole Johnson-Scales, SVP, Community Development, Fifth Third Bank. 

Fifth Third Bank has partnered with A Silver Lining Foundation for several years to offer free breast cancer screenings that has helped over 150 women, several going on for free mammograms and other diagnostic testing and treatment.  "Fifth Third Bank has really been a force in getting services to women who really need it," said Dr. Sandy Goldberg, founder/director, A Silver Lining Foundation.
