Fifth Third Bank Celebrates Black History Month
- During the month of February, Fifth Third Bank is giving away free tickets to the DuSable Museum of African-American History
- The bank will honor three notable leaders from the community: Broadcast Legend & AARP-IL president Merri Dee, Chicago Bears' Israel Idonije, and WVON's Melody Spann-Cooper. Each honoree will receive the bank's annual "Community Leader Award" and a namesake $5300 scholarship that will be presented to a local high school senior in his/her name.

The DuSable Museum, 740 E. 56th Street, Chicago, is the oldest museum of its kind in the U.S. dedicated to collecting, preserving and displaying artifacts and objects that promote understanding and inspire appreciation of the achievements, contributions, and experiences of African Americans through history, culture and art.
