Fifth Third Bank & Kane County Cougars Host "Military Appreciation Night" On Saturday, July 6th

GENEVA, Ill., June 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Kane County Cougars and Fifth Third Bank announced plans for the annual "Military Appreciation Night" at the ballpark on Saturday, July 6^th when the Cougars take on the Quad Cities River Bandits.  Free admission to the game and festivities is open to all active duty military and their families as well as local veterans. 

The annual event will include a number of patriotic and military themed pre-game activities including on-field parade, ceremonial unfolding of a giant American flag that will cover the field, and ceremonial first pitches representing each branch of the armed service.  The evening will conclude with a patriotic-themed fireworks show immediately following the game. 

"As we take pause to celebrate Independence Day, we wanted to also pause and pay honor to all those who serve and have served our country while defending our freedoms," said Curtis Haug, Kane County Cougars General Manager.

Interested active duty military and veterans can enjoy free admission by showing their military ID at the box office beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 6^th to enjoy free tickets for themselves and their families.  For more information or questions, call 630-232-8811.
