Fifth Commonwealth Vehicle Auction of 2015 to Feature Nearly 450 Units for Sale to Pennsylvania Public on Tuesday, Oct. 20
In-person pre-sale inventory preview period from Friday, Oct. 16 through Monday, Oct. 19
HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- An offering of nearly 400 vehicles – featuring vehicles seized by state law enforcement agencies– will be up for public bid during the commonwealth's second vehicle auction of the year on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. the state Department of General Services announced today.
All vehicles can be previewed in-person by the public at Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania, 488 Firehouse Road in Grantville, Dauphin County from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning today, Friday, Oct. 16 through Monday, Oct. 19. The auction will be held at the same location.
Seized vehicles in this auction include a 2001 Lincoln LS, 2004 Infiniti FX35 SUV, 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan, two 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Comforts, 2002 Acura MDX, and a 2005 Honda Odyssey Minivan among other vehicles. A variety of motorcycles; Chevy Tahoes, Suburbans and Blazers; Dodge trucks; Ford Explorers, Escapes and Expeditions; Jeeps and a other sedans, pick-up trucks and utility vehicles no longer used by state agencies will be available.
All revenue generated from the sale of these vehicles is returned to the commonwealth. The August 2015 auction netted nearly $718,000.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Buyers may purchase with cash or certified funds in the form of money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks or bank checks – all made payable to "Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction."
