Fieldbit Unveils Next Generation Collaboration Platforms for Enterprise Field Services
New Fieldbit Hero and Fieldbit Cosmic Offerings Enable Enterprises to Streamline Knowledge Capture and Improve Service Workflows
HOD HASHARON, Israel, March 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
Fieldbit, a leader in real-time augmented reality and knowledge capture solutions for field services, today announced the next generation of its end-to-end, field service collaboration platform for machine manufacturers and end users.
Eighteen months ago, Fieldbit revolutionized the field services industry with its innovative Fieldbit Coach platform, which enables experts and field technicians to collaborate on complex machinery fixes in real-time using augmented reality (AR) and other features. Widely installed at companies in the printing, manufacturing and other industry segments, Fieldbit Coach has helped these companies boost first time fix rates, maximize machine uptime and increase customer satisfaction.
"As a leading innovator in the field services space, we are committed to providing the cutting-edge solutions and technologies enterprises need to address their field service and knowledge management challenges," said Evyatar Meiron, CEO of Fieldbit. "Our next generation offering leverages the valuable experience we have gained over the past 18 months, with a focus on making Fieldbit more accessible across the enterprise."
Fieldbit's next generation platform is comprised of two new products: Fieldbit Hero and Fieldbit Cosmic.
Fieldbit Hero leverages the proven capabilities of Fieldbit Coach to enable two-way, hands-free visual collaboration between experts and technicians in the field. To help address the needs of an aging enterprise workforce, Fieldbit Hero includes industry-first knowledge capture features that allow enterprises to share and re-use recorded interactions across the organization. Experts can extract visual records (e.g., AR, video, diagrams) and save them as snippets in a dedicated knowledge repository, allowing information to be searched and accessed independently by field technicians, without requiring the availability of an expert. Current users of Fieldbit Coach will be upgraded to the new Fieldbit Hero product.
Fieldbit Cosmic is a new enterprise-grade software engine that extends Fieldbit Hero functionality by connecting it to an enterprise's back-office knowledge base systems (e.g., ERP, CRM), production floor control systems (SCADA, PLCs), or other equipment. Fieldbit Cosmic is a Software Development (SDK) and API that creates two-way connectivity between the Fieldbit ecosystem and the enterprise infrastructure. Using this interface, enterprises can streamline knowledge management processes by integrating Fieldbit service tickets within their own systems, as well as bringing important production data to field technicians in real-time via Fieldbit Hero.

"Fieldbit is committed to constantly developing and enhancing its products and technologies to meet the evolving needs of the field services market," concluded Meiron. "Our new next generation offering broadens the value proposition that we bring to the enterprise as a whole. Beyond instant visual collaboration between technicians and remote experts, Fieldbit allows enterprises to streamline their operational processes through advanced knowledge capture and easy integration with other production systems."
