Siemens will help identify business opportunities for integrating Fieldbit's Augmented Reality collaboration system with Siemens Service Lifecycle Management solution
RA’ANANA and TEL AVIV, Israel, September 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --
Fieldbit, a leading developer of real-time augmented reality collaboration solutions for field services, has been selected to participate in the Siemens AG startup commercialization program, known as Siemens Dynamo.
The program's mission is to seek disruptive technologies from innovative companies that can provide value to the Siemens ecosystem. Following a stringent evaluation process, each selected company is matched to a relevant unit of Siemens, and a hand-tailored work plan is defined to achieve mutual business goals.
Fieldbit offers a real-time AR-based collaboration and knowledge capture platform for field services. Using Fieldbit software, service organizations can provide technicians with visual instructions and access to crucial information, including IoT data, exactly when it is needed and in the most precise and context-sensitive way. In addition, Fieldbit helps organizations preserve the practical field services knowledge of their workforce by organically capturing the knowledge created during the service process.
"Siemens is constantly looking for promising companies and new technologies with potential added value to Siemens and its customers," says Ran Livnat, an Innovation Partner at Siemens Dynamo. "Fieldbit can complement our PLM offering, especially in providing the last-mile solution for field technicians. We were impressed with Fieldbit's proven record of creating value for enterprise customers in a relatively short time."
Under the scope of the cooperation agreement, Siemens and Fieldbit will jointly evaluate the possibilities for integration of Fieldbit's software with Siemens' Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) offering. In addition, Siemens and Fieldbit will explore potential integration between Fieldbit's Cosmic product and Siemens' Industrial IoT platform - MindSphere.
"We are proud to be selected by Siemens and look forward to the opportunity of working together to introduce Fieldbit's Augmented Reality (AR) field services technology to Siemens business units, customers and partners," said Evyatar Meiron, Fieldbit CEO. "Field service organizations worldwide are using our software to improve onsite technician productivity, connect end-users to problem resolution cycle and reduce operational costs. Working together with Siemens, we will be able to close the loop between the engineering and field service organizations, generating unique added value for both."
