Seasoned finance and legal executives Ed Reginelli and Veronica McGregor will advance Field's strategy of acquiring, operating, and scaling digital-asset infrastructure companies
NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Field Digital, an integrated operating company focused on building, scaling, and actively managing the core infrastructure powering the digital-asset economy, today announced the appointments of Ed Reginelli as its Chief Financial Officer and Veronica McGregor as its Chief Legal Officer.
Reginelli brings a distinctive combination of public-markets expertise, financial acumen, and deep knowledge of digital assets to Field. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of BitGo, a digital-asset infrastructure company serving crypto native and institutional clients. In his role at Field, Reginelli will lead the Company's financial strategy, capital-markets activities, financial operations, reporting, and capital-allocation framework as it executes on its long-term strategy.
McGregor will lead Field Digital's legal affairs and counsel on strategic acquisitions. Following twenty years at leading global law firms, Veronica served as the Chief Legal Officer of Exodus, a publicly traded self-custody cryptowallet company, where she led the company's NYSE listing in 2024 and built its legal, compliance, and policy department from scratch. Before that, she was Chief Legal Officer at ShapeShift, guiding the company through multiple strategic pivots including its transition into a DAO.
"Field is focused on building and operating durable businesses that support institutional participation in digital assets" said Reginelli, Chief Financial Officer of Field Digital. ""As the industry matures, institutional investors and enterprises increasingly need reliable, scalable, and professionally managed infrastructure. I'm excited to join Joe, Maulin, Raoul, and the broader Field team to build a platform grounded in financial discipline, operational rigor, and a long-term commitment to creating lasting value."
Field is building a permanent operating portfolio of digital-asset infrastructure companies: acquiring, integrating, and scaling businesses that provide the mission-critical rails for the evolving internet financial system. The Company's model emphasizes active ownership, disciplined underwriting, operational leadership, and the reinvestment of cash flows into a cohesive portfolio of infrastructure businesses.
"Field is building for the long term, and that requires more than identifying strong businesses." McGregor said, adding "It requires the legal, regulatory, and operational foundation to support their growth and bring them together as a cohesive platform. I'm excited to help shape that foundation as Field expands its portfolio and works with founders and teams across the digital asset ecosystem."
Reginelli and McGregor's appointments further strengthen Field's leadership bench as the company advances its acquisition and operating strategy. Their combined experience navigating the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets will support Field's efforts to evaluate opportunities, access capital efficiently, maintain robust financial controls, and allocate resources toward businesses positioned to benefit from the continued institutionalization of the sector.
"Ed and Veronica are two of the relatively few financial leaders who understands both the expectations of public-market investors and the operational realities of building in crypto," said Joseph Buttram, Chief Executive Officer of Field Digital. "That combination is especially important for Field. We are not simply investing in digital assets or making passive bets on the sector; we are building an operating company intended to own, integrate, and grow the infrastructure businesses that institutional participants rely upon. Their judgment, capital-markets experience, and digital-asset expertise will be invaluable as we build Field into a durable, compounding platform."
Field's strategy is rooted in the view that the enduring value created by internet-native finance will accrue to companies that own and operate the resilient infrastructure enabling connectivity, custody, execution, liquidity, and other essential institutional services. By bringing critical businesses together under a unified operating framework, Field aims to enhance capabilities across its portfolio while creating a foundation for durable growth and long-term shareholder value.
