HENDERSON, Ky., Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Field & Main Bank announces the opening of a newly constructed and custom-designed banking center in Cynthiana, Ky., combining the banking center, drive-thru and ATM at one location. It has closed its 141 East Pike Street bank. The new 3,975 square-foot Field & Main banking center, located at 103 East Bridge Street, offers an innovative banking experience that uses the latest technologies with a personal touch. This is in keeping with Field & Main's banking center design concept, which was first introduced in the bank's headquarters market, Henderson, Ky.
The most significant element in the design is the use of fully equipped freestanding service desks in place of the traditional teller counter, facilitating more direct and seamless interactions with customers. Freestanding service desks, or teller pods, provide flexibility to demonstrate electronic services on computers and mobile devices while maintaining, and even improving upon, the security of traditional systems.
"The new banking center furthers Field & Main's commitment to providing a community banking experience that is both personal and consistent with modern-day expectations," said Scott Davis, Chairman & CEO, Field & Main Bank. "The service pods remove the literal barrier created by traditional teller lines, enabling relationship bankers to interact more directly with customers and demonstrate electronic services on computers and mobile devices," he added.
Field & Main contracted with NewGround, a St. Louis-headquartered company that designs and builds custom facilities, including retail and corporate environments.
Kevin Blair, President and CEO of NewGround, said, "Field & Main Bank's new banking center in Cynthiana perfectly aligns the bank's brand and commitment to community with a state-of-the-art universal banking experience that will create competitive advantage and drive growth."
Historic bank building donated to the City
For more than 50 years, Field & Main Bank – and its predecessors, BankTrust Financial and Harrison Deposit Bank & Trust – occupied the bank's previous location on East Pike Street. Field & Main donated that historic structure to the City of Cynthiana, which intends to use the building to house municipal offices.
Cynthiana Mayor James D. Smith said, "I extend my sincere thanks to Field & Main Bank for donating its property to the City of Cynthiana, Kentucky. The donation provides a continuing service to the citizens of Cynthiana and the downtown business district for many years to come." He added, "We are excited about Field & Main's continued presence in our downtown."
