Fieger Files $50 Million Dollar Lawsuit Against Smart Bus
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nationally known Attorney Geoffrey Fieger announced today that he has filed a 50 million-dollar lawsuit against Smart Bus as a result of the death of Sally LaMay, age 37, mother of two, which occurred on November 25, 2014.
Ms. LaMay was crossing Crooks Road and Maplelawn Drive in Troy, Michigan, within the crosswalk, on a green light, in a well-lit area, when she was hit and killed by a Smart Bus.
Fieger stated:
"Smart Busses have been repeatedly involved in serious and fatal accidents over the last several years. This obviously indicates a total lack of supervision and training. This tragedy could and should have been prevented."
The lawsuit was filed in the Oakland County Circuit Court and was assigned for trial before Hon. Nanci Grant.
