Fidelio Tata Joins Societe Generale as Head of U.S. Interest Rates Strategy
NEW YORK, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking has appointed Fidelio Tata as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Interest Rates Strategy. In this newly created position, Mr. Tata will be responsible for directing U.S. rates strategy and creating the U.S. rates research product for the bank and its clients. He will also oversee the development of the U.S. rates strategy team.
Mr. Tata's appointment represents a significant step as Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking expands its fixed income research capability in the U.S., adding to the firm's position as a leading Global Cross-Asset Research franchise. The move also complements the firm's broad initiative underway to develop its U.S. fixed income dollar origination, sales and trading platform in order to provide its clients with a fully global capital markets product offering.
Mr. Tata brings to the bank strong experience. While at RBS until 2010, he was Chief Derivatives Strategist and member of the RBS Research Management Team. As an Institutional Investor ranked Interest Rate Derivatives analyst, he advised financial institutions on derivative strategies and trade executions and published derivative market and product research. Mr. Tata has also worked at HSBC, Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan in interest rates derivatives strategy. Most recently, he was Global Product Manager, Fixed Income, for TradingScreen.
