Fiberlink Partners with Center for Internet Security to Extend Mobility Management in the Marketplace
Government and education organizations gain affordable access to mobility management solutions through the CIS Trusted Purchasing Alliance
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiberlink®, the leader in cloud-based enterprise mobility management (EMM), and the Center for Internet Security (CIS) today announced a new agreement through which government agencies and educational institutions can purchase MaaS360 through Fiberlink's pre-existing contract with the State of Michigan.
MaaS360 is a comprehensive platform that allows organizations to securely manage mobile devices, applications and content. This new program enables government agencies and educational institutions to quickly and cost effectively access MaaS360 to meet a wide range of mobility and security requirements through CIS's Trusted Purchasing Alliance. Working through CIS not only saves time and money, but also gives customers access to expert advice from both CIS and MaaS360.
"We chose Fiberlink because of their experience and proven cloud-based solutions for mobility management," said Kristin Judge, Executive Director, CIS Trusted Purchasing Alliance. "By leveraging the buying power of our community to acquire solutions in an affordable way, we're supporting our mission to improve the cyber security readiness and response of state, local, territorial, and tribal governments and nonprofits across the country."
As more organizations are using mobile devices and allowing BYOD, mobility management is becoming even more critical to protecting and securing data. Fiberlink's MaaS360 platform allows organizations of all sizes to increase access to data, applications, and services while reducing security risks and data loss. MaaS360 provides flexible ways to contain work email, apps, and documents to ensure proper management of both BYOD and corporate-owned devices.
"Winning the competitive bid with the State of Michigan says a lot about the flexibility, scalability and dependability of MaaS360," said Eric Cunningham, vice president of North America sales at Fiberlink. "We're proud to extend the great partnership with the State of Michigan to CIS government and educational customers to manage devices, secure their most valuable data, and maximize employee productivity while mobile."
