Fiber Cement Building Products Manufacturer Allura Selects UFP Magna, LLC as New Distributor in Utah to Meet Increased Demand
HOUSTON, March 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to an increase in demand, Allura fiber cement products now are offered in Utah by UFP Magna, LLC, a subsidiary of Universal Forest Products, Inc., which has been added to Allura's distribution network.
According to Allura CEO Jessica Navascues, UFP Magna is an obvious choice for its newest distribution partner. Since opening in 2016, UFP Magna has established strong relationships with independent lumber dealers in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. Navascues believes UFP will give Allura the footprint it needs to better serve the Salt Lake homebuilding community.
Brian Niess, a Universal Forest Products regional vice president, agrees. "Allura exterior products are increasing in popularity every day," he said. "Contractors and builders recognize the performance advantages of Allura. We are very excited to add the Allura brand to our portfolio of best-selling building products."
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., Universal Forest Products, Inc. is a holding company whose subsidiaries supply three robust markets: retail, construction and industrial markets. Through its various companies throughout North America, Universal is strategically positioned to deliver a wide variety of products to nationwide retailers that cater to both consumers and contractors.
Allura's customers include regional and national homebuilders who use the company's fiber cement building products in the construction of new homes and remodeling of existing homes. In October 2017, Allura signed a national agreement with KB Home to serve as the homebuilder's exclusive supplier of exterior fiber cement siding products.
The company's fiber cement home building products include natural-looking siding, shakes and shingles, panels and soffit available as an alternative to wood, vinyl and other traditional building materials prone to damage from hail, termites, rot, fire and manufacturing defects.
Its fiber cement products stand up to weather conditions in any climate. Plus, they are factory primed for life, fire and insect resistant and never fade, peel or chip. Allura products also are backed by an industry-leading 50-year warranty.
Allura is part of Elementia, an international company which produces building materials for the construction sector through cement, building systems and metals divisions in nine countries throughout the Americas.
