Ferndale Teachers Of The Year Selected

FERNDALE, Mich., June 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Derek Adams, a teacher at Ferndale Middle School, was selected today as one of three "Teachers of the Year" by the Ferndale School District, along with Jan Monroe at Roosevelt Primary School and Ryan Grillo at University High School.  Adding to this honor, Adams also was awarded a one-year's free lease of an automobile from Suburban Buick GMC of Ferndale.

Suburban Buick GMC of Ferndale became a Suburban Collection dealership in this past January.  The Ferndale School System annually selects a Teacher of the Year for their elementary, middle and high schools.  Adams was selected to receive the added honor of the use of the Suburban vehicle in a random drawing among this year's three award-winning teachers made at the school district's awards program today.

In addition to Ferndale, The Suburban Collection this year awarded a one-year lease of a vehicle to educators selected by their school district as "Teacher of the Year" in seven communities in Southeastern Michigan.  These include:
