Fenton Hires White House Videographer for Firm's Studio Division
Arun Chaudhary Will Join NYC Office
NEW YORK, Nov. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fenton has named Arun Chaudhary as Resident Filmmaker for its studio division.
Chaudhary was the first Official White House Videographer, a position that was created for him at the beginning of the current administration. He was the force behind "West Wing Week," billed as a "back stage pass" to the White House and featured every Friday on the White House website. More than any other administration, the Obama White House has capitalized on the video medium, producing 1,165 posted and 14.8 million views on YouTube alone.
Chaudhary was formerly the new media road director for Obama during his 2008 campaign, responsible for capturing the day-to-day life of the candidate in video and stills from the road in real time. Before joining the Obama team, Chaudhary was a faculty member at the NYU Graduate Film Department. He has been profiled by The New York Times, the BBC, National Journal, Politico, Fortune, and elsewhere, and is at work on a book about experiences to be published in summer 2012 by Henry Holt & Company's Times Books division.
