FEI Unveils Newly Enhanced Communications for Senior-Level Financial Executives
Announces New FEI Website to Provide Daily News and Insights and Changes to Financial Executive Magazine
Names New Editor-In-Chief
MORRISTOWN, N.J., March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives International (FEI), the association of choice for CFOs and other senior-level finance executives, today announced changes to its award-winning flagship publication, Financial Executive magazine, and the launch of a new content site FEI Daily to provide senior-level financial executives the latest financial, business and management news, trends and strategies in real-time.
To reflect the ongoing stream of news and issues affecting senior-level finance professionals, FEI is unveiling its new content site. FEI Daily will include up-to-date news and analysis offering readers the very latest financial issues and insights from FEI's team of experts on the topics most important to senior-level financial executives, as well as news from other sources curated by the FEI Daily editorial team. The site's content will be easily accessible on desktop, mobile and tablet, and will also be delivered to subscribers via a mobile-friendly daily email brief every business morning. The brief, and a weekly recap, will combine correspondence from other member communications, as well as timely advocacy, research, career and membership updates.
With the launch of the new site, FEI's Financial Reporting Blog will transition to FEI Daily as the Financial Reporting column. Regarded as one of the most highly respected blogs in its field, the newly named Financial Reporting column will continue to provide detailed insights on developments in financial reporting and regulation, centering on the FASB, IASB, U.S. SEC, PCAOB, and developments in the U.S. Congress, U.S. Treasury Department and elsewhere.
The print edition of Financial Executive magazine has moved to a quarterly publication cycle. The enhanced publication will provide FEI members and other industry leaders with an in-depth look at the professional, strategic and technological practices and developments that affect financial executives' day-to-day business and longer-term success. The content will continue to highlight the role of financial executives from a U.S. and global perspective and feature best practices, developments and individuals from the international business environment. With contributions from FEI staff and top business experts, authorities and thought leaders, Financial Executive magazine will provide readers access to cutting-edge business practices.
Leading the changes for both the magazine and website is veteran financial journalist Christopher Westfall, who was appointed the new editor-in-chief of Financial Executive magazine, succeeding Ellen Heffes. Mr. Westfall assumes this new role after joining the magazine as managing editor in January 2013 and brings more than 20 years of journalistic experience covering the global financial services industry. Mr. Westfall previously served as a senior editor for financial news and services website, TheStreet.com and a managing editor of KPMG's e-publications Banking Insider and Insurance Insider. Mr. Westfall was also formerly a managing editor of Fund Action, a mutual fund industry newsletter published by Institutional Investor's news division in New York.
"Christopher has been a valuable asset to Financial Executive magazine since joining the staff last year, and we are excited for him to take on his new role as our editor-in-chief," said Marie N. Hollein, CTP, President and CEO of FEI. "Under his direction, FEI Daily will solidify FEI's position of providing relevant analysis for financial executives, as well as Financial Executive magazine, which continues to be a leading publication for finance professionals."
"Throughout the history of our esteemed publication, FEI continually strives to provide senior-level executives with original content that will help them shape corporate financial management practices, and improve their decision-making, productivity and performance," said Christopher Westfall, editor-in-chief of Financial Executive magazine.
