FEI Introduces New 'Associate' Membership Category
- Creates Opportunity for Mid-Career Finance Professionals and Recognizes Future FEI Leaders -
MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Financial Executives International (FEI), the association of choice for CFOs and other senior-level finance executives, today approved the addition of a new class to its membership structure through the addition of the 'Associate' category. This new category, which will take effect immediately, was established to enable talented, motivated financial professionals to have ongoing opportunities for personal and professional growth as their careers advance. The result of this addition will be a larger, more influential association in the finance and accounting community.
"The Associate membership category was created to provide support to the future leaders within the financial profession," said Marie Hollein, CEO and President, Financial Executives International. "These are members of our community who have a clearly-defined career path and have already made substantial progress in the field. We understand the importance of mentoring executives at this critical stage in their occupation - particularly in the current environment - and membership in FEI allows them exposure to senior executives as well as networking and educational opportunities to guide their path. This is a celebrated addition to our membership and a natural step for our organization."
The new Associate membership category entitles and encourages professionals to become engaged and participate locally through service on Chapter Committees. It is designed for those professionals in mid-career level positions, who will typically have qualifying titles such as Assistant Controller or Assistant Treasurer (from firms with revenues of $25 million up to $100 million), and Senior Manager or Manager and who demonstrate strong potential for further career growth.
Associate members will enjoy many of the rights, privileges and services of the existing FEI membership. All applicants for membership for this category must possess a minimum of seven years work experience in the finance profession and a minimum four year University/College Bachelors degree, which is subject to verification.
All interested applicants can obtain a full description of criteria requirements and download an application at www.financialexecutives.org/join.
