Fazoli's Recognizes Moms in May

LEXINGTON, Ky., May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- While May 8 is Mother's Day, the one time in the year when kids and husbands around the world show their appreciation to the person who holds it all together, Fazoli's believes one day is just not enough.  To remedy this situation, the Italian restaurant chain has declared May Mom's Month. And in each participating market, one lucky mom will be crowned Fazoli's Mother of the Year.  The prize: to sit down and let someone else cook, with free meals from Fazoli's for a year.

Details on Fazoli's Mother of the Year promotion can be found at facebook.com/fazolis.  Those looking for a way to honor mom should become a fan and then write what makes their mom so special on the entry page.  Everyone who enters will have the chance to send their mom an e-mail on what they wrote.  At the end of Mom's Month, Fazoli's will select one mom in each participating market to free meals at Fazoli's for a year – a prize that definitely trumps chocolates and flowers. Deadline to enter is May 31, 2011.  

Cathy Hull, chief marketing officer for Fazoli's, believes the need for giving mom more than just a day is well overdue.  "Our moms took care of us 365 days a year, year after year; shouldn't we say thanks for more than just one day," said Hull. "That's why we wanted to award a prize that will allow mom to sit down and enjoy a quality meal with her family each month for a year."
