Fayetteville Panthers to Host Inaugural Jamboree, Share Free Resources
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., Jan. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrate school choice with free books, refreshments, and raffles at the Fayetteville Panthers' first jamboree, which will take place 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Highland Presbyterian Church.
The Fayetteville Panthers' semi-professional basketball team will be present at the School Choice Week celebration to sign autographs, pass out t-shirts, and give away mini basketballs. The jamboree's free educational supplies will be donated by local libraries, schools, and businesses.
The event will also feature remarks on school choice by China Bethea, the Fayetteville Panthers' president, as well as a raffle for tickets to Disney World in Florida.
This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
"We are inviting all schools and community members to attend the jamboree," said China Bethea. "There will also be refreshments and places to discuss how we can help children have more educational opportunities outside of the classroom."
The Fayetteville Panthers is a nonprofit organization with a focus on giving back to the community and creating a more powerful and positive society.
As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country.
