Faurecia celebrates new seating plant in Simpsonville, Kentucky
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Faurecia, one of North America's largest automotive suppliers, today inaugurated a new automotive seating plant in Simpsonville, Kentucky. The facility, located at 65 Kingbrook Parkway, started production in May and plans to employ more than 500 people from the area.
"Faurecia has been welcomed with open arms by the Simpsonville community," Nik Endrud, President of Faurecia Automotive Seating North America, said during the facility's flag-raising event. "The enthusiasm and support we've received here has helped us create a local workforce of the highest quality, which reflects in the quality of the product."
The Simpsonville plant produces complete seat systems for the Ford Super Duty Truck, which comes in the Ford 250, 350, 450, 550 and Chassis Cab F650/750 models, and supports two Ford plants.
