Fattah to Deliver Keynote at Philadelphia's Brain Health Fair Saturday
The Congressman will be a part of "Brain Health Awareness Day" in Philadelphia and help kick off the American Academy of Neurology's Annual Meeting
WASHINGTON, April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) will speak to more than 1,000 neurologists, patients with neurologic diseases and their caregivers at Philadelphia's Brain Health Fair tomorrow, Saturday, April 26. The City of Philadelphia has declared the day "Brain Health Awareness Day," in recognition of the fair and start of the 2014 American Academy of Neurology's (AAN) Annual Meeting, which is being held in Philadelphia through May 3.
Sponsored by the American Brain Foundation in conjunction with AAN's conference, the fair seeks to connect patients, families, caregivers and the public with vital educational resources and information to combat brain diseases. Fattah's speech will offer an update on his work through the Fattah Neuroscience Initiative (FNI), a non-incremental policy effort launched three years ago to elevate neuroscience as a national priority in the United States and works to achieve groundbreaking progress in understanding the human brain.
The American Brain Foundation is committed to finding a cure for brain diseases and improving patient care, quality of life, and public understanding of brain diseases. AAN's meeting is expected to bring more than 12,000 neurologists to Philadelphia in the coming week.
