Fattah Applauds April Jobs Report
Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), a Senior Member on the House Appropriations Committee releases the following statement on April's job numbers:
WASHINGTON, May 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "April's unemployment number restores confidence that the job market is improving. The private sector added 165,000 jobs, marking the 38th month of consecutive growth. Revised numbers from February and March showing 332,000 jobs were added causes the unemployment rate to dip down to 7.5 percent – the lowest in four years. That spells good news for our economy.
"The numbers are a continuous reminder that under President Obama's leadership, the economy is gradually getting stronger but, there is still work to do. I again call on my colleagues to put partisan politics aside and let's work together so that every able bodied American who wants a job has a job."
