Father Wrongly Accused of Owing $120,000 in Child Support Payments Prevails in Court
CHICAGO, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A father was wrongly accused of owing over $120,000 in child support by the State of Illinois although he already paid all of it. The devoted father made his child support payments using money orders, but did not keep the receipts. The State knowing that the father was without receipts likely thought it was an easy prosecution. The father feared the worst because if he lost he could be thrown in jail and ordered to make "double" payments he could not afford. He knew jail time could destroy his relationship with his child.
The father sought the help of leading Child Support Attorney, Richard H. Marcus, to right this wrong and keep him from being wrongfully put behind bars. Given Attorney Marcus' extensive experience and courtroom skills, he persuaded the Judge to wipe out the entire $120,000 in child support payments the dad was falsely accused of owing and kept him free. Attorney Marcus, again, won a case most attorneys thought was unwinnable.
Attorney Marcus will discuss this victory, and others, on the season finale of Chicago Counterpoint TV with host, internationally renowned Matrimonial Attorney, Jeffery M.
