FastPencil Publishing Launches Hysterical Book of Facebook Statuses
"My Self Serving Book of Facebook Statuses and Notes" Written by Vinnie Rinaudo
CAMPBELL, Calif., April 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today FastPencil announced the launch of "My Self Serving Book of Facebook Statuses and Notes (It Doesn't Suck as Much as You'd Think)" by new author and funnyman Vinnie Rinaudo. The book is through FastPencil's self-publishing imprint, a platform that offers a technology-driven publishing option so more writers can publish more content.
"My Self Serving Book of Facebook Statuses and Notes" is an edgy, addicting and entertaining compilation of Rinaudo's Facebook statuses and notes from the last three years, as well as statuses and notes he has written to his girlfriend. Readers will find themselves laughing and nodding their heads in agreement to the social and cultural topics Rinaudo discusses including relationships, the workplace, holidays and race. Rinaudo does show a much softer side as he has sporadically included sappy and thought-provoking statuses in the book.
"For years people have told me that I should write a book so I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to finally share my sense of humor with the world," said author Vinnie Rinaudo. "For too long, I have kept quips to myself, voicing my opinions to only my friends, but now it is time to expose the world to my humble opinion and FastPencil has provided me with the opportunity to share it."
Quips in "My Self Serving Book of Facebook Statuses and Notes" include:
"What I really want to know is how to solve this cowbell problem. It's almost 2012 and we still need more of it. This is bull----."
"Anyone know where I can score a copy of the Brian Austin Green rap cd. I need it for my 'things nobody should have in their collection' collection."
"Why do they call it 'stubbing your toe'? That doesn't sound as painful as it actually is. It should be called something horrible like Celine Dion. 'I Celine Dioned my toe pretty bad.' That's way better, now everyone knows the pain that you are truly in."
Rinaudo was born in Rochester, New York, and spent his youth trying to fit in with everyone else, but realized he could not due to his warped sense of humor and altered view of the world. He started off working retail but transitioned to working in restaurants. He then realized he could get away with saying pretty much anything, which he does in his first book.
"The humor in my book is in your face but you will no doubt find yourself laughing," Rinaudo said. "I am excited to provide readers with a humorous look into my life and a reminder to not take life too seriously."
