DURHAM, N.C., Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Law Offices of James Scott Farrin Attorney and Shareholder, Anabel Rosa, participated in Third Friday ¡FIESTA!, a Durham event that honored Hispanic Heritage Month in September.

Rosa has practiced law for over 20 years and is a Puerto Rican native who is active in local Latinx communities. She chairs the City of Durham Mayor's Hispanic/Latino Committee and has helped organize pro bono citizenship clinics in North Carolina. Governor Roy Cooper selected Rosa to serve on the Governor's Advisory Council on Hispanic Latino Affairs, where she also serves on the Subcommittee for Economic Development.

For Rosa's work with the Latinx community, she received the 2018 "Triangle Business Journal" Women in Business award.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in September, Rosa and the City of Durham Mayor's Hispanic/Latino Committee participated in the Third Friday ¡FIESTA! This event was orchestrated by various Durham partners and included local Latin filmmaker Rodrigo Dorfman and photographer Peter Eversoll who presented their new documentary series "¡FIESTA! Quinceañera." The event featured pop-up performances, local Hispanic artists and businesses, and Hispanic community-oriented organizations.
