Farmers Market Makes a Move to the Promenade at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Farmers Market, hosted at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw mall, will open for business in a new location beginning this Saturday, November 30. The market will now be hosted on the outdoor Promenade between Rave Cinemas and the mall's main entrance every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each week, the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Farmers Market offers a variety of farm fresh produce, delicious gourmet goods, unique artisan goods, as well as health and fitness instruction for more than 500 members of the community.  Currently, the market is featuring locally grown fall favorites, including Fuji apples and Asian pears, mustard greens, kale and Swiss chard, along with the first of the citrus crop.

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw has hosted the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Farmers Market for the past four years. The market ties into the mall's diverse bFit health initiative, which promotes wellness throughout the Crenshaw community. The bFit programming includes free events and services throughout the year, such as weekly Zumba, cardio kick and yoga classes, as well as blood pressure screens, health fairs and access to Covered California health insurance representatives within the mall.
