RIVERSIDE, Calif., May 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmer Boys® Restaurants, the brand known for cooked-to-order breakfasts, burgers and more, was once again the proud sponsor of the annual community health fair at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital aimed at providing young children with non-threatening exposure to a hospital setting.
Loma Linda University's health departments set up booths on the Children's Hospital north lawn, Wednesday, May 4 2016. Children participated in various hands-on learning activities to help ease their nerves of being within the hospital setting.
Children also lined up at the Farmer Boys® booth to spin the prize wheel and win a scarecrow bobble head, Farmer Boys t-shirt or snack.
Children's Day is an annual event free to families from surrounding communities and is designed for young children from the ages of three to eight. More than 1,500 local children and their parents attend the health fair each year.
Since 2000, Farmer Boys has donated $540,657 to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. Donations collected over the past 15 years have been used to purchase heart monitors for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, vein viewers for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and fund the hospital's annual Children's Day celebration.
