Farmer Boys in Gardena to Host Grand Opening Festivities

Farm-to-table restaurant chain celebrates the opening of its Gardena location with family events and food specials.

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Aug. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmer Boys today announced the grand opening festivities of its 641 W. Redondo Beach Blvd. location in Gardena. The grand opening events will begin Friday, August 8 and end on Sunday, August 10.

The celebration will commence with a ribbon cutting ceremony and burger-eating contest taking place on Friday, August 8 at 4:00pm. The Gardena Valley Chamber of Commerce President Wanda Love and City of Gardena Mayor Paul Tanaka will be in attendance. Patrons are encouraged to participate in the Farmer's Burger eating contest following the ribbon cutting ceremony. Partakers will race to eat the award-winning Farmer's Burger®. The winner will be the first to consume the half- pound burger made of pure 100% USDA beef, grilled over an open flame and topped with fresh produce, hand-smashed avocado, and thick bacon.

On Saturday, August 9, Farmer Boys invites the Gardena community to try The Big Cheese Burger, for only $.99 from 2:00pm- 4:00pm. There will be raffles and entertainment for those in attendance. Sunday, the restaurant will provide face painting from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
