Orlando resort's Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen will participate in local event on April 16 in support of American Cancer Society
ORLANDO, Fla., April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Playing its part in the fight against cancer, Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes is set to feature meals from its farm-inspired menu at the 2016 Cattle Barons' Ball, the American Cancer Society's largest one-night fundraiser.
Taking place on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Rosen Shingle Creek's Sebastian Ballroom, the annual Cattle Barons' Ball raises money to support cancer research and community-based patient services. Event participants will enjoy a fun-filled night with mouthwatering cuisine from many local restaurants, an open bar, live and silent auctions and dancing to live country and pop music. New this year, the gathering will be topped off with the Legends Lounge After Party.
Attendees will have the honor of savoring an array of creative dishes from the talented culinary team at Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen. The Orlando fine dining restaurant will also serve its signature brew, "Surplus", a Floridian honey citrus ale made with honey sourced from the 4-star hotel's apiaries.
The restaurant will offer attendees its hop-salted house pretzels, "Surplus" ale cheese fondue, short rib sliders, Chayote slaw, roasted tomato aioli and brioche. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy the fresh farm-to-table fare at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes anytime throughout the year as well. Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen is open daily from 5 to 11 p.m. for food service and until midnight for bar service. The Orlando restaurant boasts comfort foods such as flatbreads, small sandwiches, snacks and small plates in addition to craft beers.
