Farm Show Visitors Invited to Record Memories at 2011 PA Farm Show
Previous Interviews Available Online, Printed in the New Souvenir Book
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Visitors to the 2011 Pennsylvania Farm Show are invited to share and record their favorite memories – old and new – of the show in a special interview.
For the third year, "Voices of Farm Show" sessions will be hosted by KJ Wagner in the Department of Agriculture booth in the Main Hall of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. The exhibit will be open from Saturday, Jan. 8, through Saturday, Jan. 15.
"The 'Voices of Farm Show' project was designed to capture the many great stories about the Farm Show for posterity," said Agriculture Secretary Russell C. Redding. "The exhibitors, volunteers and visitors make the show the success that it is, and they all have a tale to tell about this unique event. We want to hear their stories and why Farm Show has become such an important part of their lives."
Several interviews from past shows have been transcribed and included with photos in the newly designed Farm Show Souvenir Book. Available for $5 at the show, the 128-page book also offers Farm Show maps and schedules, fun facts, a history and coupons redeemable at the show. Proceeds benefit the Dauphin County 4-H program.
Interviews from previous "Voices of Farm Show" sessions are available at www.farmshow.state.pa.us.
