LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Faraday Future (FF) today announced the appointment of John Lehn as Director, Government Affairs - Hanford. In his position, Lehn oversees interests pertaining to navigating local and state government regulations and working with officials as it ramps up production at its Hanford, California, manufacturing facility.
As Director, Government Affairs - Hanford, Lehn reports to Chaoying Deng, VP of Administration. Lehn comes to FF from the government of Kings County, California, where he led the job training office for the past 38 years and was president and CEO of the Kings County Economic Development Corporation for the past 21 years.
In the Kings County Job Training Office, Lehn coordinated and oversaw workforce preparation activities, coordinating federally funded efforts to prepare the local and regional workforce in high-demand occupations. As president and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation, he helped attract and retain businesses for the City of Hanford and Kings County. Lehn also served as a spokesperson for Kings County's economic and infrastructure initiatives with local media.
"I appreciate the vision FF founder and Global CEO YT Jia has developed in creating this advanced mobility company," Lehn said. "The people FF has attracted to grab hold of that vision and bring the Faraday Future FF 91 is truly world-class."
Previously, Lehn had also helped implement the education partnership FF enjoys with College of the Sequoias to train those working in the Hanford manufacturing facility. Halfway between Los Angeles and the Silicon Valley, Hanford's location makes it an ideal location to manufacture the hyper-performance FF 91 ultra-luxury EV, which is slated to go on sale next year. With more employees being brought on every week, FF's goal is to have approximately 1,300 workers in its Hanford plant to build FF 91.
Designed and engineered in California, the all-electric FF 91 will serve as a "third internet living space," affording the driver and passengers the ultimate in comfort, performance, and connectivity.
A California State University, Fresno, graduate with a B.A. in Social Work, Lehn's role is crucial as FF expands its footprint in California's Central Valley and continues to train its rapidly growing workforce.
