NEW YORK, Aug. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The 11th annual Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (NYCWFF) returns this Fall with a variety of offerings for culinary enthusiasts of all ages to join in on the fun. The Festival returns to EAT. DRINK. END HUNGER. on October 11 – 14, 2018 to benefit the hunger-relief organizations No Kid Hungry® and Food Bank For New York City with more family-friendly events than ever before.
"Adding more family-oriented events to the Festival was a key part of our planning process this year," noted Festival founder and director Lee Brian Schrager, who also serves as senior vice president of communications & corporate social responsibility for Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. "We want to continue to provide opportunities for fans of all ages to explore life through food and engage with some of the top chefs in New York City."
This year's Festival features three brand-new events on Saturday, October 13th specifically created with the whole family in mind, including:
- A Breakfast Pajama Party hosted by TODAY's Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones at Kellogg's NYC
- The Ultimate Pizza Party presented by Slice hosted by Jeff Mauro at Fornino at Pier 6 in Brooklyn
- Returning, sold-out Family Ice Cream Fun-dae hosted by Duff Goldman also taking place at Kellogg's NYC
- And dog-friendly event, Nulo Pet Food's Yappie Hour hosted by Katie Lee at Big Screen Plaza behind Hotel Eventi
Additionally, two signature Festival events will continue to provide ticket options for both adults and fans of all ages. The Culinary Demonstrations Only ticket provides access for those under 21 years of age to watch everyone's favorite Food Network and Cooking Channel chefs and lifestyle personalities cooking live at the Culinary Demonstrations presented by Capital One® and enjoy the featured Book Signings by TŪL Exclusively for Office Depot® Office Max® during the marquee Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite event (Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14) at Pier 94. Families can also enjoy a Sunday afternoon barbecue on Sunday, October 14 at Pier 92 at the Coca-Cola Backyard BBQ presented by National Beef & Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Nusret "Salt Bae" Gökçe and Jean-Georges Vongerichten event. This carnivorous fête will feature more than two dozen of New York City's best pit-masters serving up their best dishes cooked low and slow, with beer, wine and cocktails for adults and interactive games for kids.
