Fanning Harper Martinson Brandt & Kutchin Attorneys Named Among Texas' Best
DALLAS, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dallas law firm Fanning Harper Martinson Brandt & Kutchin, P.C., is pleased to announce that firm attorneys Thomas Brandt, Joshua Kutchin and Don Martinson have earned recognition on the 2014 Texas Super Lawyers listing.
This is the fifth selection for Mr. Brandt based on his work in civil litigation, school and education law, and employment litigation. He currently serves as lead counsel for Kountze ISD in a legal dispute involving the inclusion of Christian-themed messages on banners used by the district's cheerleaders. A petition is pending before the Supreme Court of Texas to hear the case.
This is the sixth consecutive Super Lawyers selection for both Mr. Kutchin and Mr. Martinson. Mr. Kutchin is recognized for his defense of companies in personal injury claims, focusing on the construction industry, and on the defense of premises liability and general negligence claims. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Martinson is honored in the 2014 edition for his work defending companies against product-related personal injury claims. He also recently was selected among The Best Lawyers in America for 2015.
The annual Texas Super Lawyers list is based on peer nominations and recognizes the state's top attorneys. The final selections are made by a panel of lawyers chosen by the publication's editors, with fewer than 5 percent of Texas attorneys earning the honor each year. The exclusive listing of the state's top legal counsel appears in the October 2014 issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazines. The full list also is available online at http://www.superlawyers.com.
Earlier this year, Fanning Harper's Joshua A. Skinner and Francisco J. Valenzuela were selected to the Texas Rising Stars list for a fifth consecutive year. A companion to Texas Super Lawyers, the Rising Stars list recognizes the state's best lawyers under age 40 and those who have been practicing law for no more than 10 years.
Mr. Skinner earned recognition for his state, local and municipal work, as well as for his school and education, and civil rights practice. Mr. Valenzuela was selected based on his expertise in employment litigation defense, school and education law, and state, local and municipal work.
