Family Research Council Action's Faith Family Freedom Fund Launches Missouri Radio Ad Against Sen. Claire McCaskill
WASHINGTON, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the Faith Family Freedom Fund, a super PAC associated with Family Research Council Action (FRC Action), announced a radio ad buy on seven Christian radio stations in Missouri that reach into St. Louis, Kansas City, Branson, Kirksville, Richmond and Lexington. The ad highlights Sen. Claire McCaskill's (D-MO) vote for President Obama's health care law which was rejected at the ballot box two years ago by an overwhelming 71 percent of Missouri voters. The one-minute ad will run through the election.
Of the ad, Fund Chairwoman Connie Mackey made the following comments:
"It's time for Senator Claire McCaskill to be held accountable for her votes against the values of the vast majority of Missouri voters. She was the 51st vote for the government takeover of health care, she supported taxpayer funding of abortion, and opposed the Missouri constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Senator McCaskill is way out of step with the people of Missouri. It's time to repeal and replace Senator McCaskill with a senator who will stand for faith, family and freedom."
The ad features a mother and daughter discussing the Missouri senate race. The script appears below:
Mugs clinking in back ground.
Mom: Oh Jenny, feels like ages since we were able to sit down like this and talk. How are things going?
Jenny: Mom, things are crazy at home and work. Plus, we have an election in a few weeks and I am still not sure who to vote for for U.S. Senate.
Mom: Well, I can tell you who I'm not voting for, and that's that Claire McCaskill.
Jenny: Why? I guess I just haven't paid attention.
Mom: Well everyone's talking about this so-called war on women, and it seems to me that McCaskill is the problem.
Jenny: What do you mean?
Mom: Well Claire McCaskill and President Obama have made the economy worse. Bailouts and stimulus packages haven't helped – and now we have Obamacare to contend with and folks still aren't sure what that's going to do.
Jenny: I know. My boss keeps saying he won't hire until he knows how the new healthcare law will affect business.
Mom: I just don't understand why in a down economy, Claire McCaskilll and President Obama would tack on another expensive program that will cost trillions.
Jenny: It doesn't make sense. Maybe Claire McCaskill needs to go.
Mom: Well, that's what I say.
