Family of Texas Man Killed in Biloxi Bus Crash Retains Lanier Law Firm

AUSTIN, Texas, March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lanier Law Firm is representing the family of Kenneth Hoffman, one of four people killed earlier this week when the tour bus they were riding in was hit by a freight train in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Mr. Hoffman was among 49 bus passengers from a senior citizen center in Bastrop, Texas, heading to Boomtown Casino in Biloxi.

According to authorities, the motor coach got stuck on the tracks while trying to clear a crossing marked as having a low-ground clearance. A CSX freight train crashed into the bus about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 7.

Four passengers were killed and 41 others injured, eight of them critically. The dead have been identified as Mr. Hoffman, 82, of Lockhart, Texas; his wife, Peggy Hoffman, 73, also of Lockhart; Clinton Havarn, 79, of Sealy, Texas; and Deborah Orr, 62, of Bastrop.
