ATLANTA, Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Every year, nearly four million kids and teens go to one of the more than 4,100 Boys & Girls Clubs around the country. To celebrate this incredible organization and the youth they serve, Family Dollar Stores, Inc. today announced it is once again partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) for a six-week program called, "Give the Gift of Sharing." Beginning October 28, Family Dollar customers can make a monetary contribution to the organization, to be donated to their local Boys & Girls Club and BGCA this holiday season. The program will culminate on December 24, 2015.
"Family Dollar customers are passionate about helping those less fortunate in their communities," said Gary Philbin, President and Chief Operating Officer of Family Dollar. "Last year, Family Dollar, our customers, and our partners raised $280,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs of America and local Clubs around the country. After learning how much of a difference these funds make to the families served by Clubs across the country, there was no question that we would continue the partnership again this year."
