Fall Music Festivals in Philly

• The free and first-time WHYY Connections Festival kicks off with the Hot Club of Philadelphia playing their gypsy-jazz, along with the screening of Ken Burns' latest film Prohibition and a post-movie performance by Manu Chao. • For four days, the Philadelphia Film and Music Festival -- also known as the Philadelphia F/M Festival -- will take place on stages at 15-plus venues around the city, and it will showcase some of the hippest local and national acts around, including Toy Soldiers, Good Old War, Nicos Gun, Hezekiah Jones and more than 100 other acts. When they aren't listening to music, fans can head over to the Philly F/M "Movie Haus" to watch  a variety of new documentaries, which chronicle the artists behind the music. September 22-25.
