Fall Fellowship Kicks off at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale with Annual Rally Day Celebration
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale will kick off the fall season by hosting its annual Rally Day celebration on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Members and non-members are invited to partake in this free event featuring informational booths from the Church's ministries and programs, and family-friendly activities including crafts, face painting, a balloon artist, petting zoo and cotton candy machine.
"Our Rally Day is one of our most exciting events because it allows us to introduce First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale to newcomers as well as spend a wonderful day with our existing members," said Mona Petersen, Director of Adult Education Ministry and Small Groups at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale. "One of the greatest things about Rally Day is for everyone to meet and greet, build new friendships, and discover what's planned for our upcoming season."
Everyone is invited to Fellowship Hall, located at 451 Tarpon Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, directly across from the Sanctuary, to explore the display tables. The tables will feature displays from several of the church ministries and programs, including the Adult Activity Center, Adult Education Ministry, Women's Ministry, Happyland Day School, Youth Ministry and Missions Ministry. Just outside Fellowship Hall kids can visit the animals at the petting zoo.
"With so many programs and classes, First Presbyterian Church provide numerous opportunities for individuals of all ages to enhance their spiritual growth. First Presbyterian Church, as we like to say, is 'where faith comes alive,'" said Petersen.
Participants are invited to partake in Rally Day activities, before, in between, or after worship services. Rally Day activities will end at noon. First Presbyterian's Rally Day schedule of events is as follows:
