Faithful+Gould Completes $11.5 Million Clinical Addition To Keller Army Community Hospital In West Point, New York
NEW YORK, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Faithful+Gould is pleased to announce that BTF Solutions, a joint-venture between Faithful+Gould and Balfour Resource Group, completed an $11.5 million addition to the Keller Army Hospital in West Point, New York.
Faithful+Gould provided the project leadership including the lead project manager, lead equipment planner, transition manager and project management support to conduct Initial Outfitting and Transition (IO&T) of personnel and equipment to the new 51,000-square-foot Brian Allgood Ambulatory Clinic. Together with Balfour Resource Group, Faithful+Gould additionally provided comprehensive project management, comprehensive interior design (CID) planning services, equipment and furniture procurement and transition planning services.
Program Director David Baily expressed, "Being involved with the Keller Army Community Hospital was rewarding both professionally and personally. As the prime contractor, being meticulous with the details of the project to ensure medical providers have what they need to provide world class medical care was very gratifying. From a personal perspective, one of my daughters was born in this hospital while I was teaching at West Point, so it was nice to play a small part in improving the medical facilities for the community and to be reminded of the historical significance of this location."
Built in 1974, the Keller Army Hospital extends quality comprehensive healthcare to the West Point community. The new addition houses optometry, dermatology, ENT, physical therapy, podiatry and orthopedic clinics, along with providing TRICARE office space. The facility's sustainable modular design captures natural light and includes a renewable photovoltaic solar array on the roof. It also features a dedicated entrance and lobby, parking space and storm water retention work.
"This addition significantly enhances our mission to provide world-class healthcare," said Keller Army Community Hospital Clinic Commander Col. Beverly C. Land. "The new facility enables our servicemen, servicewomen and their families to receive the most efficient healthcare services, all under one roof."
