Faithful+Gould Awarded ENR Texas & Louisiana Award of Merit for Farmer Brothers' Project Evolution

NEW YORK, Sept. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Faithful+Gould, a world-leading project and program management consultancy, is pleased to announce that Farmer Brothers' Project Evolution received an Award for Merit by the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Texas & Louisiana region in the "Manufacturing Projects" category.

Faithful+Gould served as owner's representative on behalf of Farmer Brothers for its 540,000-square-foot headquarter campus relocation in Northlake, Texas.

This project marks the next step in Farmer Brothers' evolution and growth, creating a world-class, multi-functional facility that relocated the company's business and administrative functions from California to Texas, while elevating its manufacturing capabilities and centralizing its distribution and logistics network.

With the design-build nature of the project, fast-paced decision making was required, incorporating multiple stakeholder and manufacturing coordination to avoid impacts to construction and production schedules. The campus includes a 95,000-square-foot LEED® -certified administration building; a 127,000-square-foot manufacturing and roasting plant; a 258,000-square-foot distribution center; and 60,000-square-feet appropriated for coffee bean receiving, storage and cleaning.

Faithful+Gould's role on the project included: managing the project schedule, objectives and milestones; contract management; risk management; assistance with site selection, developer and contractor bidding; project cost controls and reporting; establishing and managing an execution strategy; overseeing scope and quality planning; and master scheduling. As a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract, the schedule was multi-faceted, with different milestone and deliverable dates.

The award will be presented at a luncheon on October 18, 2017, at the JW Marriott Houston in Houston, TX.
